What are you doing the weekend of July 18-20th?
I know a ton of you are pumping your fists in the air, shouting BLOGHER OR BUST, BABY! Rock on!
BUT.
If, for whatever reason, you can’t make it to BlogHer but don’t want to spend that weekend, as Sandra so aptly put it, “sitting around licking your computer screen” and think you could get yer bad self to Niagara Falls, then DO IT. Because a few of us Canucks are planning a little bloggy getaway weekend we’ve dubbed BFF (Blog Friends Fest) that’s fixin’ to be a rockin’ good time, and YOU’RE invited.
And you. And you! And most definitely you, you sexy thang, you.
We’re still working out all the deets but so far we’ve got hugging, squealing, bonding, laughing, talking about our blogs and blogging and all things blog, drinking, and a bit of sightseeing on tap. We’re even going to try and connect with our fellow blogging buds who will be whoomping it up in SanFran to have a live video chat. It’s gonna be informal, relaxed, affordable and most of all, FUN.

That’s a great idea. I will actually be going to my first BlogHer ever (just having started blogging with any regularity this year).
And living in Vancouver, SF isn’t too far a jaunt.
Keep posting about your event… I’d love to see more Canadian conferences!

Doh! Flying from Vancouver to SanFran is infinately cheaper than flying to Niagra Falls, but I still can’t afford either. We have to find our way to (get this) Kingston in the fall for my brother’s wedding, so all our resources are being funneled into that (weeee!). Otherwise I would soooo be there, eh. Have fun, I’ll be here in BC licking my computer screen for BFF and Blogher.

Oh, you ambitious hard-driving Upper Canadians, yours has an official website? Our Maritime Blog’er just has a Facebook group (Maritime BlogHer, May 16-18, Chester, NS if any of your readers are local to us and want to whoop ‘er up).

A group of us did this last year. Althogh it was planned BEFORE Blogher, it ended up being in the same city. I kept wondering if we would encounter some bloggers, but we didn’t, that I know of. Anyway….the idea of Blogher has always kind of turned me off. It’s really not my kind of thing.
But six of us sharing a rockin townhouse in Lakeview, doing girl stuff, eating good food and drinking cheap wine into the wee hours, shopping, sightseeing and having really deep philosophical conversations?
It. Was. Awesome.
You guys are going to have the best time. I wish I could joing you! But, we’ve already planned our second gtg for July and that will officially exhaust my travel budget for the year.
Can’t wait to hear all about it!

I think some Boston bloggers might try to caravan up to Niagra Falls. We were talking about it on twitter. I’d like to go. I’m so not interested in Blogher, but a smaller, more intimate (and cheaper) setting would be cool!
