I hear you about the snow. Here in lovely Missouri last week we got 14 inches of snow in one day but for the month of February is is way more than that and if the kids have anymore damn snow days they will be going into June. We have had SEVEN this month. To top it all off we are putting an addtion on to the house and I wanted it mostly done for when my husband is home from Iraq for a visit. That has not happened. He has been home for a little over the week and we are sleeping on mattresses and with the kids home and the contractors here we have not been able to um, uh, enjoye each others company!!!

Gas here in St. Louis is $3.00 a gallon (american).

    March 7th, 2008

  12. The price of gas (petrol) in Australia would make you guys swoon. For a start, you use it in gallons. We have it in litres (which is 1 gallon per 3.79 litres) so the proice I’m going to give, you’ll have to multiply by 4 to get an equivalent ouch!

    Yesterday it was $1.48 a litre. ($5.92 a gallon.)

That was because we’re now enjoying a long weekend. It’s a public holiday on Monday. The price always goes up. Usually it’s only around $1.30. (Or should I say $5.20?)

You’re getting an absolute BARGAIN!!!! (does that make you all feel better? me? i’m going off to kick the car’s tires and have a little cry….)

    March 7th, 2008

  13. I leave laundry overnight ALL THE TIME! My new rule is it’s okay for 24 hours, but any more than that, and it has to be rewashed. yes, it’s so bad I had to draw a line somewhere. sigh.

And oh my holy hell, I had not heard about YET ANOTHER new snowstorm. Crap. This is not what I need, especially after spending another day buying summer clothes for Pumpkinpie and I!

    March 7th, 2008

  16. So your week sounds like it’s been as good as mine.

Good to know we’re sharing the same charming life from different ends of the country.

    March 7th, 2008

  17. I too have rolled my eyes at the ironic and sad fact that I now go to bed even earlier than I used to go to a club.

And this fucking fuckass winter – will it EVER END?!

    March 7th, 2008

  18. Aww! You sound exhausted! I TOTALLY relate…: the poop, the cat poop (and barf OH THE BARF!), exhaustion, all of it…. ((HUGS))

    March 7th, 2008

    March 8th, 2008

  21. Chris

Delurking to say that I’m with you on the snow – we’re just east of Cleveland Ohio (only a few short miles from Canada, if you can swim!) and so far we’ve gotten a foot and a half, which would be roughly, uh, 40 cm – and I have a stir-crazy 5 year old girl. Kill me now.

    March 8th, 2008

  22. Kim

One of these days, I’m going to count the number of times somebody yells MOMMEEEEEEE!!! . I bet it’s mind-boggling.

    March 8th, 2008

  26. I think all moms can relate to that last one, except me last night. I actually went out at 8 and got home close to midnight. I’m sort of paying for it now, but it was worth it. ;)

  31. 5-0 cm here too.
I’m sooooo over all this snow.
    will spring ever arrive???!

    March 9th, 2008

  32. Price of gas in my ‘hood – $1.16. It changes every Friday – we have regulation here. It hasn’t helped much.

Saw the pictures of the snow dump. You poor bastards really got walloped. I think Halifax was the one place that didn’t get a shit-mess; we just had rain.

Times I have left a load in the washer not only overnight, but for the whole day too because I went to work and forgot all about it? Infinity. Plus one. I hate fucking laundry.

    March 9th, 2008

  33. Yup. Lots of snow here too.

I did 4 loads of laundry. And more to go still. Ugh!

    March 9th, 2008

    GP x

    March 10th, 2008

  36. you nodded off during LOST? you MUST have been tired.

    March 10th, 2008

  37. Yeah, gas just went up to $5,897 a gallon here. I’m going to have to trade in my Minivan for a jet. I hear they are actually more economical to run, now.

I’m sorry about all the illness and..broken dishes! That stinks, too. So, with running back to exchange them, those dishes should now cost about eleventy-million dollars if you factor in fuel costs, is that what you’re saying?

    It’s a wonderful world!

    March 10th, 2008

  38. AB

Don’t get me started on the price of gas. Our imbecilic President was in a news conference a couple of weeks ago and was suprised to learn how expensive it was. He didn’t even know!!!

    March 10th, 2008

  39. Um, did I miss something on the price of gas? I’m not in Canada, but did you say $107 as in one hundred and seven dollars? A litre? A what?
Gas in Massachusetts – $3.07 a gallon at the cheap place. But since I’m American, and apparently the metric system is too complicated to be taught in school, I don’t know how many litres that is.
